Crohn’s Disease Research Study

Welcome to the Accurate Clinical Research website for adult people who have Crohn’s Disease and may be interested in participating in a research study. Accurate Clinical Research is conducting this research study of an investigational medication for people with moderately to severely active Crohn’s Disease in our site located in Humble, Texas. Researchers are evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug to learn if it may help improve your disease symptoms.

An individual may qualify for the study if

• Are 18 to 80 years of age,
• Have had a diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease for a minimum of 3 months, and
• Currently have Crohn’s Disease symptoms

If you participate in this study, you will receive the investigational drug, or placebo (a drug with no active medication) for up to approximately 1 year. Your health is very important to us and will be closely monitored throughout the study.

Information on Clinical Research Studies: What Is a Clinical Study?

A clinical study involves research using human volunteers (also called participants) that is intended to add to medical knowledge. There are two main types of clinical studies: clinical trials (also called interventional studies) and observational studies. ClinicalTrials.gov includes both interventional and observational studies.

Clinical Trials

In a clinical trial, participants receive specific interventions according to the research plan or protocol created by the investigators. These interventions may be medical products, such as drugs or devices; procedures; or changes to participants’ behavior, such as diet. Clinical trials may compare a new medical approach to a standard one that is already available, to a placebo that contains no active ingredients, or to no intervention.

Some clinical trials compare interventions that are already available to each other. When a new product or approach is being studied, it is not usually known whether it will be helpful, harmful, or no different than available alternatives (including no intervention). The investigators try to determine the safety and efficacy of the intervention by measuring certain outcomes in the participants. For example, investigators may give a drug or treatment to participants who have high blood pressure to see whether their blood pressure decreases.

Clinical trials used in drug development are sometimes described by phase. These phases are defined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Some people who are not eligible to participate in a clinical trial may be able to get experimental drugs or devices outside of a clinical trial through expanded access. See more information on expanded access from the FDA.

    About us

Accurate Clinical Research (ACR) has 12 sites across the greater Houston, Texas Area. Another site clinic is in San Antonio and 5 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. By having this network of physicians each with their own multiple research programs, we can provide a wide range of options to patients where they did not exist before.

Our company began with Rheumatology, and we have 9 sites specializing in that indication. We have branched out into Cardiology, Hematology, ENT, Endocrinology, GI, Oncology, Primary Care, and Women’s Health”

We match patients to protocols so that our patients have access to cutting edge options before the rest of the population.

This benefits the sponsor company by helping build the knowledge about a particular medication, and it benefits the patient by providing them with frequent evaluations and access to new medications. This also benefits future generations. Without clinical research today, there would be no new medications tomorrow.

    MISSION

Our Mission is to explore every option for a patient. Providing hope for patients and hope for the future. We are exploring the future of medicine every day and opening doors for our patients.

    VISION

Research is Hope!! Be a part of it!!

We are proven leaders in the Clinical Research Industry! When you seek medical care, you want the very best. We are dedicated to providing the best care through clinical research studies.
